Courses

Our sixth form offers a wide selection of subject choices to suit every student’s needs and aspirations.

All students in Year 12 study 4 different elements. These might be 4 different subjects, 3 subjects and Core Maths or 3 different subjects with a directed study element.

In addition we offer vocational courses in business, criminology, engineering, food, health and social care, IT, science and sport which have a different assessment pattern to traditional A Levels, with greater emphasis on coursework and different learning styles.

Each subject has a dedicated 10 hours of taught content per fortnight. Between lessons all students are expected to study independently and this can take place in our dedicated sixth form campus.

The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and English Speaking Board (ESB) are offered as weekly enrichments with additional teaching hours, where students can study 4 subjects plus an EPQ or ESB, should they wish.

Every student completes a basic first aid course through our Enrichment Programme, gaining practical skills that extend well beyond the classroom.
