Courses

Our sixth form offers a wide selection of subject choices to suit every student’s needs and aspirations.

All students in Year 12 are expected to study 4 different elements – this might be 4 different A Level subjects or could be 3 A Level subjects together with a compulsory fourth element of study (such as an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), Core Maths or Directed Study).

Each subject has a dedicated 10 hours of taught content per fortnight with most fourth elements taking a further 5 hours. Between lessons all students are directed to study independently in our Sixth Form Campus utilising our fantastic onsite facilities.

In addition, we offer vocational courses in Business, Engineering, Health and Social Care, IT, Food, Sport and Science which have a different assessment pattern to tradition A Levels, with greater emphasis on coursework and different learning styles.

Entry Requirements

Students wishing to join our sixth form will need to meet our minimum entry requirements of 5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above including a minimum of grade 5 in Maths and English. In addition, most of our courses require higher entry grades and this information can be found on each course page.
