What Do I Need To Study This Course?

6 or above Biology or 7 or above Double Science and 6 or above Mathematics.

Please note – if you are opting to study Biology and not opting to study A Level Mathematics then we recommend taking Level 3 Core Maths as your 4th option, rather than an EPQ or directed study.

Practical skills; Biological molecules and cells; Exchange and transport; Biodiversity, evolution, and disease; Communication, homeostasis and energy, Genetics, evolution and ecosystems.

Paper 1:  Biological processes (Modules 1, 2, 3 & 5) 2hrs 15mins, 37%.

Paper 2:  Biological diversity (Modules 1, 2, 4, 6) 2hrs 15 mins, 37%.

Paper 3: Unified Biology (Modules 1-6) 1hr 30mins, 26%.

CPAC “Practical Endorsement” (Practical skills internally assessed).
