Hire our Facilities
Horsforth School and the Sixth Form at Horsforth, has a wide range of facilities that are available to hire for all types of events, including children’s birthday parties.
The school is conveniently located in North Leeds (LS18 5RF) and has ample on-site parking. A member of our Facilities Team is always available at all times for the duration of the letting to assist with any queries.
Our facilities are available for hire during the weekday evenings (from 6pm to 10pm, 8pm on Fridays) and weekends (from 8am to 5pm). This is with the exception of bank holidays and the school Christmas holidays.

Our outdoor 2G astro pitch is available to hire all year round and is perfect for playing hockey and football. The pitch benefits from floodlights and can be booked as a half or full pitch. Changing rooms are also available nearby.
Our sports fields are available to hire. Depending on the time of year, we can offer grass playing fields for matches (one football pitch and two rugby pitches), a 400m grass running track and a cricket wicket.
Our Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) can be hired and has four netball courts.
*Please note – both our sports fields and MUGA are subject to sufficient natural light (not floodlit).
Our main hall is available to hire and can accommodate a maximum of 300 people. Seating can be arranged as required or cleared so that full use can be made of the floor space. The hall has a stage, PA system and lighting making it suitable for large-scale drama and theatre productions (adjacent classrooms can be used as changing rooms).
Our modern auditorium can be used for lectures, performances and conferences and can accommodate a maximum of 200 people. The seating can be in-situ or pushed back to make full use of the floor space. It has a state-of-the-art LED screen (nearly 5m wide by 3m high) which can also be hired and is surrounded by classrooms which can be booked at the same time.
We have two drama studios available to hire. These studios are perfect for drama groups or groups looking for a calm and tranquil setting.
Two music rooms are available for hire which have been designed with consideration to the acoustics of the room.
There are nine computer suites available to hire. The rooms are of varying sizes with the largest able to accommodate 50 people. These rooms are ideal for training events, classes or scout/guide groups.
Our library can accommodate 100 people. Seating can be arranged around tables or in rows.
There are four meetings rooms available to hire on an evening or at a weekend. There are two which accommodate 6 people, one that accommodates 12 people and our biggest seats 14 people.
CHILDREN’S BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Our sporting facilities, halls, classrooms, diners and outdoor courtyard can be hired to celebrate a birthday party.
Our sports hall is ideal for bouncy castles, our science labs are great for science parties, our drama studios for magician parties and our computer suites for Minecraft/coding parties. If you are bringing party food along, you can hire one of our four diners to eat in (speak to us if you need a kitchen area) and there will always be a member of our Facilities Team on hand should you need anything.

- Charges are inclusive of a member of the Facilities Team being onsite during a booking and the charge includes heating and lighting
- In order for bookings to be financially viable and in the unlikely event that the school is only booked by one hirer, we may need to charge a higher price to cover our costs
- For commercial hirers where the local community cannot take advantage of the booking, an additional 20% will be added to all normal charge amounts
- Equipment hire to be negotiated separately as required
- The Trustee Board reserves the right to charge extra for lettings that run over their allotted booking time, at the rate charged for the booking
- The Trustee Board reserves the right to charge a cleaning cost of £21 per room if left in an unacceptable state
- The Trustee Board reserves the right to charge £6 per access card if lost and a replacement is requested
