Our Results

We are delighted to announce that our students have done amazingly well in their A Levels this summer (2022). A record 75% of all grades achieved were A*-B with 45% of all grades awarded being A*-A. The average grade gained was a B+ and 69% of students got at least AAB. This is significantly above the National Average.

The combination of these fantastic results and a 100% pass-rate will ensure that our students are able to progress successfully in their chosen pathway. Five students will go on to study at Oxbridge and two others will study Medicine.  We remain proud to be one of the top sixth forms in Leeds giving our students the best chance of going to a top Russell Group University.

A record number of twelve students achieved A* grades across the board.  Congratulations to Samuel, Ben, Thomas, Mark, Theo, Isaac, Adrian, Luke, Felix, Arron, Lily and Matthew.

We always welcome students who have studied GCSEs at other local schools: Emma joined in Year 12 and has achieved an A* in Maths and Physics and grade A in Chemistry and Further Maths and will go on to study Physics at the University of Manchester.

Dr. Paul Bell, the school’s Headteacher said “We are immensely proud of all the hard work and achievements of our students, they are an exceptional, inspiring and talented group of young people and we couldn’t be prouder of them.  They were unable to sit GCSEs in 2020 and so this summer’s exams were their first external assessments taken and so these results are a tremendous achievement.  I would also like to thank the staff at Horsforth for the support that they have given to our students.”
