Results 2025

Our students celebrated a wave of outstanding success on A Level Results Day, with 38% of grades being A*, A, Distinction or Distinction*. With an impressive 71% A – B* (or equivalent) grades, we significantly outperformed the national average for another year running, after achieving the highest state school A Level results in Leeds in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

“We’ve had another incredible morning,” said Oliver Watkins, Director of The Sixth Form at Horsforth on the day. “We don’t yet know how we rank city-wide this year, but with 39% of our results at A*-A, it’s clear our students have once again risen to the challenge. I couldn’t be prouder of the hard work they’ve put in, and the fantastic team of staff who supported them every step of the way.”

Our students headed off to top academic destinations across the UK and beyond, with places secured at Oxford, Imperial College London, Warwick, Manchester and many more, as well as highly competitive apprenticeships with leading household brands including Amazon and Hovis.

Mr Watkins added: “Whether they’re off to a Russell Group university, starting a hands-on apprenticeship, or studying overseas, our students leave us with the confidence, ambition and skills to succeed.”
