Salary Range C1 actual salary £19,038-£21,019

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, highly motivated, experienced and innovative Student Support Officer. The successful candidate will join our growing, dynamic and supportive school and work with the wider pastoral teams. We are looking for an individual who will take responsibility for a range of pastoral interventions across all year groups.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading on bespoke strategies which will support our students to remove barriers to learning. The candidate will work directly with our learners as a coach and mentor. This role will involve developing bespoke sessions to deliver to our most needy students across all year groups, 7-13. Specifically:

 Managing behaviours and emotions
 Mental Health and Wellbeing (offering 1:1 support and small group support)
 Attendance (Challenge groups and 1:1 support alongside working with families)
 Student support due to bereavement or other issues that arise

The main focus for this role, is delivering effective preventative work which has demonstratable impact. The candidate will be confident in using school data and will be able to write reports and use baseline assessments.
