Horsforth School is seeking to appoint a hard-working, energetic and reliable Evening Facilities and Lettings Officer.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the general maintenance and security of the school site and associated facilities and will also be the main point of contact for our external lettings who use the premises.

Other key responsibilities will include tending to jobs around the building, sports pitches and external grounds. We are looking for someone with a flexible, ‘can-do’ approach who also possesses proven maintenance skills.  The ability to deal with issues using one’s own initiative whilst also working well as part of the site team is essential.  The role will involve some weekend work for which overtime is payable.

For our 1500 and growing students, Horsforth School provides an engaging environment of discovery and growth. For our colleagues too, this setting offers some great benefits. Located in north-west Leeds, the school is just five miles from the city centre with its thriving retail, leisure and cultural facilities, yet on the edge of open countryside. York, Harrogate and the Dales are within easy reach.

GCSE and A Level results are consistently well above the national averages and in both 2022 and 2023 the school had the best state school A Level results in the whole of Leeds. Horsforth School was also named one of the top schools in Yorkshire in The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide in 2022.

We reserve the right to call particularly strong candidates for interview before the closing date, therefore early applications are encouraged.
