Our School Facilities
Horsforth School has superb, state-of-the-art teaching facilities include specialist science laboratories, food technology rooms, drama studios, multi-media library, music centre, art and design technology studios and extensive ICT facilities. In addition, there are excellent sporting facilities which include a gym, sports hall, fitness room, floodlit all weather pitch, netball courts, rugby pitches, football pitch and a cricket pitch.
These modern facilities provide students with many educational, social, artistic, musical and sporting opportunities.
Sixth Form Facilities
In addition to the school’s excellent facilities, our sixth form students have their own dedicated campus to study. They have access to a modern auditorium, classrooms and state of the art science laboratories and IT facilities along with a common room (Common Grounds).
ASTRO PITCH
Our outdoor floodlit 2G astro pitch is perfect for playing hockey and football.
SPORTS HALL
A large sports hall with marked out lines for a multitude of ball sports.

SPORTS FIELDS
Our sports fields are used for lots of different activities including for football and rugby matches, a 400m grass running track and for cricket matches.
MUGA
Our Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) was new in 2022 and has four netball courts on it.
MAIN HALL
Our main indoor hall is where daily assemblies take place and is used for our large-scale drama and music productions and includes a PA system and lighting.
AUDITORIUM
Our modern auditorium is part of our sixth form campus. The seating can be in-situ or pushed back to make full use of the floor space. It has a state-of-the-art LED screen (nearly 5m wide by 3m high) and is surrounded by sixth form classrooms.
CLASSROOMS
The school and sixth form combined has over 60 classrooms, each classroom can accommodate up to 32 students.
DRAMA STUDIOS
We have two drama studios perfect for drama groups or groups looking for a calm and tranquil setting.
MUSIC ROOMS
Our two music rooms have been designed with consideration to the acoustics of the room.
COMPUTER SUITES
We have nine computer suites and the rooms are of varying sizes with the largest able to accommodate 50 students.
LIBRARY
A quiet place for study or somewhere for our students to go at break and lunchtimes.
COMMON GROUNDS
A light airy space for our sixth form students to study and socialise. Common Grounds has a barista station and serves hot and cold food, booths, sofas and work stations with charging points.
