Our School Facilities

Horsforth School has superb, state-of-the-art teaching facilities include specialist science laboratories, food technology rooms, drama studios, multi-media library, music centre, art and design technology studios and extensive ICT facilities. In addition, there are excellent sporting facilities which include a gym, sports hall, fitness room, floodlit all weather pitch, tennis courts, rugby pitches, football pitch and a cricket pitch.

These modern facilities provide students with many educational, social, artistic, musical and sporting opportunities.

Sixth Form Facilities

In addition to the school’s excellent facilities, our sixth form students also have access to their own large common room as well as dedicated work spaces and a separate ICT suite in the library.

ASTRO PITCH

Our outdoor 2G astro pitch is perfect for playing hockey and football.

SPORTS HALL

Our large sports hall has marked out lines for a multitude of ball sports.

INDOOR GYMNASIUM/DANCE STUDIO

Our indoor gymnasium/dance studio has a sprung floor for PE lessons.

TENNIS COURTS

Our tennis courts are on a tarmac base and can accommodate 4 matches at the same time.

SPORTS FIELDS

Our sports fields are used for lots of different activities including for football and rugby matches, a 400m grass running track and for cricket matches.

DRAMA STUDIOS

We has two drama studios perfect for drama groups or groups looking for a calm and tranquil setting.

MAIN HALL

Our main indoor hall is where assemblies take place daily and is used for our large-scale drama and music productions and includes a PA system and lighting.

LIBRARY

A quiet place for study or somewhere for our students to go at break and lunchtimes.

CLASSROOMS

The school has over 50 classrooms, each classroom can accommodate up to 32 people.

MUSIC ROOMS

Our three music rooms have been designed with consideration to the acoustics of the room.

COMPUTER SUITES

We have seven computer suites and the rooms are of varying sizes with the largest able to accommodate 50 students.
