Our students benefit from a pastoral system based on small tutor groups with experienced tutors who support and guide them and focus on the individual.
Our tutors are the first point of contact for any student’s concerns and provide practical guidance on how to balance commitment to lessons, private study, enhancement activities and relaxation, whilst monitoring their progression, attendance and behaviour. They also assist with the completion of UCAS, apprenticeship and job applications.
New to Our Sixth Form
Each academic year we have a large number of new students who join us from different local schools.
In order to help these students integrate into life at our sixth form we have a dedicated support tutor, Mrs Kendal (based in Drama Studio 1).
She is your first port of call for new students wanting to ask any questions about our sixth form. She also plays a large role in ensuring the support continues throughout the year, meeting with individual and small groups of students during Year 12 to ensure they have settled well and that they are gaining the most from attending our sixth form.
