We are delighted to have the opportunity to invite you to our school for our Sixth Form Open Evening on Thursday 11th November. The school will be open from 5.30pm to 8.00pm.
We do however have to exercise caution. In order to keep our school community and visitors safe, we need to limit the number of people in rooms and operate pre-booking for the ‘Joining our Sixth Form Talks’ in our Hall. We insist that only one parent attends with one Year 11 student. Please wear a mask and make use of the sanitising stations throughout school.
The evening will be split into two halves:
- The ‘Joining our Sixth Form Talk’ will take place at 5.30pm and 6.30pm. These talks must have been pre-booked in advance and will be in the school hall and you must enter via the main entrance only.
- Departmental talks with Curriculum Leaders. There will be three 10 minute talks for each subject in classrooms throughout the school (First come, first served). There will be an opportunity to ask subject ambassadors and student ambassadors questions, meet the Sixth Form Team as well as finding out about Sixth Form life in the school Library. You should arrive at the Drama entrance, at the back of school for these (do not come to main reception). Car Park Attendants will direct you.
Due to building works taking place on site, parking will be very limited on the night. Please could we ask that, where possible, you walk or park in a local public car park (on Town Street or the back of school near to St Margret’s Church, which is accessed from Church Lane).
For those who prefer to visit remotely, a virtual event will also be available on our website from 11th November.
Please keep checking our website for updates/changes we may have to make in line with guidance for Covid safety, especially before you travel to us on the 11th.
We do hope that you are able to accept this invitation and we look forward to seeing you.
