We are delighted to announce that our students have once again achieved fantastic GCSE results, reflecting their hard work and dedication. 59% of our students achieved a strong pass (5+) in English and mathematics and 81% of our students achieved a standard pass. We have nearly doubled the number of our top grades, with 7% of all grades being grade 9 (4% of grades were a 9 in 2018).
The school’s excellent track record for GCSE success continues and further cements the school’s position as one of the top non-selective and most popular schools in Leeds, where students make exceptional progress.
Individual standout successes for students with bright futures include those from Dylan Jubb who achieved 9 grade 9’s and Alex Koppany, Thomas Sweeney, Oliver Lough and Thomas Frith who achieved all grade 9s or 8s.
Dr. Paul Bell, Headteacher added “For over 7% of all our grades to be a 9 is fantastic, we are so proud of all our students and pleased they have been rewarded with wonderful results. We wish them all the very best of luck for the future, and look forward to seeing so many return to our sixth form in September.”
