Vacancy for Lead Kitchen Assistant

Term time only + 5 days

30 hours Monday – Friday

£11,227 actual salary

Horsforth School is seeking to appoint a Lead Kitchen Assistant to work alongside our Catering team to deliver a fantastic service to both our students and staff.

We want to build on our current service and systems to drive the Horsforth School’s food offer forward and to maintain standards in food quality, service and cleanliness. This is a hands-on role and involves supporting with the day to day running of the kitchen including managing staff and events taking place in school.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing menus and dishes with year groups, helping to plan new promotions and initiatives, and supporting in the organisation of event and hospitality catering.

The role will require flexibility with some evening and weekend hospitality work required.

This is an extremely responsible position and the successful candidate must have excellent organisational skills and high levels of self-motivation. You will also be innovative, creative and passionate about food and food service.
