Student Voice plays a central role at Horsforth School. We value what our students have to say and provide opportunities for our students to have leadership and ambassador roles. Students can be nominated as a form representative; they have the task of reporting to the year council about form group issues. We have a student council who take issues and ideas and try to resolve them; they work with the headteacher and key staff within the school. We have a cluster council which works with our main primary school council supporting community ideas and initiatives. We really do encourage student participation and appreciate their hard work.
This year our student council supported St. George’s Crypt in Leeds. The council collected donations for ‘moving out ‘boxes to support the homeless.
As well as the council we are proud to elect students as anti-bully ambassadors, open evening ambassadors and school food ambassadors.
