Horsforth School is delighted to share that, in a year of declining results nationally, over 75% of students achieved 5 or more A*-C grades including English and mathematics at GCSE. Nearly a third of all grades were awarded at A* or A. In addition a number of students received the new top grade 9 (the new tougher GCSE grading system), which only a small percentage of students received nationally. The school’s excellent track record for GCSE success continues and further cements the school's position as one of the top non-selective schools in Leeds.
Dr. Bell Horsforth School’s Headteacher, said; “These excellent GCSE results come exactly a week after a further year of superb A-level results. Both sets of results are a fantastic reward for all the hard work of our students and staff.
At A Level over a quarter of all grades were awarded at A*/A, significantly higher than the national average.
