Librarian and Literacy Champion

Required as soon as possible:

Salary Range A1/A3  £11,930- £13,709

Full time, term time only

Monday – Thursday 8.00am – 4.00pm

Friday – 8.00am – 3.30pm

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Librarian and Literacy Champion to join our exciting and vibrant SEND team. The role involves working under the direction/instruction of senior staff to promote and develop the school library, promoting literacy in order to provide an efficient service to students. This role will involve providing administrative support to the SENDCo and SEND team as well as promoting literacy throughout the school.

This is an extremely busy position and the successful candidate must be hardworking, energetic and reliable and have the ability to deal with issues using their own initiative as they arise whilst also working as part of a team. 

Success is seen throughout our ambitious and consistently oversubscribed 11-19 school, which enjoys strong community and international links.  Our commitment to excellence in education is recognised nationally.   This can be shown following our recent successful bid for a Post 16 free school. The North West Leeds Sixth Form Centre will be opening alongside Horsforth School and will not only increase opportunities for students but also our colleagues who will be given the opportunity to work across two sites, in other words, there’s never been a more exciting time to join us.
