Hegarty Maths is a fully interactive online learning resource, consisting of over 600 online tasks with accompanying video tutorials from Colin Hegarty (UK National Teacher of the Year 2015). When students are set homework on Hegarty Maths, we expect them to achieve a minimum of 80%, watching the video carefully to help them. The website generates random questions so that for every student the questions asked are different!
Hegarty Maths can be accessed 24/7 from school, home or even on holiday. All that is required is an internet connection. Students can access their homework set by their teacher and get instant results via the student portal at home. Hegarty Maths stores all results and creates a ‘Fix Up 5’ assessment based on the weaker areas that are identified based on their performance on each online task- this will constantly update itself as the student works their way through tasks set by their teacher.
To login, students need to go to https://hegartymaths.com/ and
Students enter their name and date of birth, and are asked to create a password for themselves. We recommend that they choose their school password so it is easier to remember, but if a student forgets a password they can request a password reset on the website.
If you have any problems accessing Hegarty Maths then please contact Mrs Laycock, our eLearning Manager.
